Part Time Management Accountant

With a clear growth plan set out for 2021 and beyond, we’re looking for a proactive, analytical management accountant, with retail experience, to join our growing management team. Working with the Directors and their team, you’ll own the monthly P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting and provide meaningful analysis of the business finances - actuals, forecasts and budgets. You'll also be responsible for collaborating with our operations team to deliver improved business performance. 

The role will be office based (when we are able) in East Dulwich but there is some flexibility to also work from home. Working 20-21 hours over 3-5 days a week to suit your working preference. You must have the skills and experience listed below to be considered for the role.

Main duties include:

  • Acting as finance lead within a growing online retail brand
  • Working with the Directors to help analyse success, shaping and planning future business strategy, setting KPIs
  • Forecasting and budgeting cashflow and P&L
  • Managing costs, providing analysis and recommendations for future efficiency savings and ROI improvements
  • Owning the credit control process to minimise risk and ensure trade debt is kept to a minimum
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Managing stock inventory and monthly stock reconciliations
  • Analysing financial data, making pro-active recommendations to improve company finances
  • Optimising and developing processes, reports, systems and analytics tools to improve the running of the finance department
  • Optimising and problem solving for the import / export of goods – e.g. currency, tax, duties, Brexit paperwork

Skills & experience required:

  • Full or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a strong academic record
  • 3+ years of experience working within a retail business accounts department
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to use financial data to identify opportunities and risks
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to problem solving with an ability to see the bigger picture
  • Enjoys collaborating and working cohesively in a team environment
  • Experience of managing and mentoring others to foster a culture of encouragement and ownership of tasks
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Fabulous Excel skills
  • Experience of Xero desirable

Freelance Print Designers

We’re looking for print designers to join our growing roster of talented creatives, working with us on short term projects which will sit outside IR35.

Working with our Creative Director, you will be responsible for developing our unique Anorak brand identity, producing commercial designs at the forefront of future trends to appeal to our discerning customers.

Applicants must have experience of designing for women’s, kids and / or homeware, be enthusiastic and passionate about design and must be able to deliver exciting ranges within company timeframes.

Skills & experience required:

  • Experience working within a design-led retail environment
  • Knowledge of repeat pattern
  • A strong eye for colour, print and trends
  • The ability to work within a commercial setting and adapt your handwriting to suit the requirements of a specific project
