Business, but not as usual.
There’s nothing normal about how things are right now. The good news is we’re continuing to deliver our beautiful products to our amazing customers. But just like all businesses, we’ve made some changes to help flatten the Coronavirus curve and also ensure we can continue to trade all the while we can.
Working from home - As of 16th March, our offices are closed and staff are working from home. Most, including ourselves, have small kids off school, so the workload has increased for all of us. This is nothing compared to our incredible NHS staff, so you won’t hear us complaining.
Flexible hours - From spreadsheets to schooling to shopping, we’re letting our staff work flexibly around home and life commitments to help relieve some of the day to day pressures. You won’t notice the difference, but our team certainly will.
Meetings - We’re following government guidelines to stop non-essential contact, which mean no more face to face meetings for the time being. We’re pleased to report online meeting apps are working well, and Laurie’s questionable tea making skills have been put to rest temporarily.
Online orders - Our website is running tickety-boo and we have plenty of stock on hand to keep up with demand. Our warehouse partner is operating with strict sanitation and safety measures and following all WHO and government guidelines about preventing and containing the spread of the virus.
Telephone queries - We’re forwarding our office phone to our lovely Luella, who’ll be doing her utmost to juggle calls with kids. For the next two days, the phone is off whilst we make this adjustment. So if you can’t get through, please email email@example.com with your query and telephone number and we will call you back asap.
Wholesale orders - We’re continuing to support our loyal retailers through this very difficult time. We’re monitoring firstname.lastname@example.org email account from home, and this is the best way to make contact with orders and queries. The office phone will be up and running again later this week, and Luella will be on hand to answer your calls.
