We’re big believers in good times. And having them again and again. The sea swim you nearly talked yourself out of. The first flask of tea when the tent’s finally up. The sandwiches that somehow taste better at the top of a hill. Beach days that turn into beach evenings. And those gloriously lazy afternoons when doing absolutely nothing is the whole point.

Big adventures, little pleasures and all those good times you never tire of having again. Because the best bits of life are worth repeating.

And we think the same goes for a good print.

The great outdoors isn’t exactly short of inspiration. Lobsters, leopards. Badgers, bunnies. And a flower or six for good measure. We celebrate them all in bold, beautifully simple silhouettes and glorious two-colour repeats. Striking shapes, vibrant colour and patterns bursting with personality.

We’re not interested in prints that come and go with the seasons. We believe a great print is a keeper. Something you fall for, live with and love for years. An Anorak classic in a brilliant new colourway. A much-loved motif finding its way onto something unexpected. One print becomes two. Two become a collection. Before you know it, you’re a fully-fledged anorak.

Because when something makes you happy, why stop at one? Joyful patterns on repeat. Good times on repeat.

JOY IN REPEAT.

Anorak was founded in 2009 by our creative director, Laurie. Today, she and her partner Matt run our independent family business from East Dulwich, South East London.

The story actually begins much earlier, with Laurie’s childhood camping adventures in Scotland and France. Days spent exploring with her family, making their own fun and enjoying life’s simplest pleasures. Just as memorable was the outdoor iconography and signage Laurie spotted along the way. Campsite symbols, animal pictograms and familiar outdoor signs, all expressed through an array of graphic shapes and silhouettes.

Those happy memories and striking little symbols stayed with Laurie, and together they became the inspiration for Anorak: simple good times worth repeating, and joyful patterns made to repeat.

Today, print comes first in everything we make. Our distinctive two-colour repeats combine beautifully simple silhouettes with bold, unexpected colour combinations. You’ll find them across our growing collections of clothing, homeware and outdoor-inspired essentials. From dresses, pyjamas, knitwear and sweatshirts to towels, bedding, sleeping bags, washbags, doormats and more.

Our approach to product design follows the same principles: simplicity, practicality and timelessness. Clean shapes, easy silhouettes and nothing unnecessarily embellished. If it’s the kind of thing you’d happily roll up, chuck in a rucksack and take on your next adventure, chances are it’s the kind of thing that belongs in an Anorak collection.

We’re equally thoughtful about our materials. Organic cotton, EcoVero, mulesing-free wool and recycled polyester all feature in our collections where appropriate. Sustainability, quality and longevity guide our choices, with a preference for useful, lasting products over fleeting fashions. Things designed to be worn, used and loved for years.
